We want you to succeed in achieving your educational goals and to help we’ve created a comprehensive and integrated student support system. This support starts with your personal Success Advisor who will be there to provide continual advisement as you complete your CSU-Global Campus degree.
Success Advisors have extensive experience in higher education and are committed to delivering prompt, reliable, and student-focused guidance – when you need it. Success Advisors proactively work with CSU-Global Campus faculty and administration to communicate your feedback on how we can improve our services to you.
Success Advisors can help you with any aspect of your CSU-Global Campus experience, or direct you to the right person. The CSU-Global Campus Technical Support Center is available by clicking the Help Desk tab in the Student Portal, Blackboard, directly at the Support Center homepage.
The CSU-Global Campus Virtual Bookstore
Access the CSU-Global Campus virtual bookstore from the Student Portal (My Campus), or from the CSU-Global Campus homepage to find out what books you need for your Fall 2008 courses. You can either purchase your books from Ambassador, the contracted bookstore that stocks all CSU-Global Campus course books and ships nationwide, or you can purchase books from any vendor of choice. There are several online resources, such as www.affordabook.com, which can help you save money on textbooks by shopping for the best price from number of discount vendors.
The CSU-Global Campus Virtual Library
The CSU-Global Campus Virtual Library provides state-of-the art information services for all of our online programs. You will have access to numerous online journal article databases and resources, government information, general reference materials, and several e-book databases to help you with your coursework. Our online library is open 24/7 for access to the material you need at a moment’s notice. And, if you have any questions or need research support, you can access a live person 24/7 through our “Ask a Librarian” service.
In order to access databases, you must be a registered student. Access the Virtual Library through My Campus, or Blackboard.

Services for Students with Disabilities
Students who have been admitted to CSU-Global Campus may request reasonable academic accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 in accordance with Colorado State University policies. If you would like to request reasonable accommodation, you may self-identify to the Chief Academic Officer or his designee, who will assign a Disability Resource Coordinator to work with you one-on-one to collect the required documentation, review your documentation, and determine the appropriate accommodation.

Student Success Skills Forum
Once you become an admitted CSU-Global Campus student, you have immediate access to our online Student Success Forum (SSF). The SSF is set up as an “organization” in Blackboard, so that you will be able to access it throughout your entire program. The SSF includes several useful modules that introduce you to CSU-Global Campus, our online learning environment, and strategies for study and time management, personal goal-planning and use of learning resources.
Each semester, it is facilitated by one or more experienced faculty members, who will be available to answer your questions, provide advice, and lead you in developing your individualized plan for success at CSU-Global Campus. You should check the SSF frequently for updates about success tips, learner resources including tutoring, fully online library services and academic advising, as well as other student services and support resources. And, feel free to interact on the Discussion Boards with your CSU-Global Campus fellow students and the faculty facilitators!
Tutoring Support
CSU-Global Campus has contracted with SMARTHINKING, a leading provider of fully online tutoring services. Students can connect to live tutors 24/7 for support with a variety of subject areas, including writing, accounting, economics, and other basic skills. The online writing lab returns essays within 24 hours, so you will receive timely, useful and fast service.

ePortfolio
As a student at CSU-Global Campus, you will have free access to an ePortfolio account for the first year of your studies. This service is optional for all students, except those enrolled in the Master’s in Online Teaching and Learning. ePortfolio is a place where you can create and customize an electronic portfolio of your best coursework from your academic program for academic, career, or personal use. You can share your work, goals, and achievements with advisors, career counselors, and employers.
