Sallie Mae Signature Loan
The Signature Student Loan is a credit-based loan. You can apply directly, or if you do not satisfy the credit criteria, you can apply with a creditworthy cosigner. Sallie Mae recommends that students apply with a creditworthy cosigner as it may provide the opportunity for a lower rate loan. The best pricing is usually available when both the student borrower and cosigner are credit approved. Loan approval is subject to the student borrower and the cosigner (if any) meeting all eligibility criteria and experiencing no material changes (e.g., bankruptcy) between pre-approval and first disbursement of the loan. Students applying for the Signature Student Loan can borrow up to the cost of education and the school must certify the loan amount requested. The minimum loan amount is $1,000.
