Online Course Development and Teaching Opportunities with CSU-Global Campus

 

CSU-Global Campus offers online undergraduate degree completion programs and master’s degree programs, under extended accreditation from CSU-Fort Collins and CSU-Pueblo campuses.

We invite applications for part-time faculty to develop and/or teach online in bachelor’s degree completion programs in Social Sciences and Organizational Leadership, and master’s degree programs in Organizational Leadership and Management. Specific discipline areas sought are: General Biology, American and General History, English Composition, Sociology, General Business, Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Statistics, Criminal Justice, Leadership, Organizational Behavior.

We recruit instructors with significant academic and professional experience in their discipline area, and a demonstrated commitment to student success. Working with students in an online environment requires faculty who are self-motivated, responsive, proactive and student-centered.

CSU-Global Campus Hiring Process

Faculty are invited for a telephone interview based on an evaluation of overall qualifications and programmatic need. Following the interview process, candidates may be invited to participate in the Instructor Certification course, and upon successful completion, will become eligible for instructional assignment. All courses are 8 weeks long and offered on the Blackboard learning management system. Contracts are issued on a course-by-course basis. 

Qualifications

Course Development
Faculty who are interested in course development must have strong writing and online communication skills, be able to adhere to tight deadlines and work collaboratively with the Instructional Development team and project managers. Course developers should have some prior online course development experience and significant academic expertise in the subject matter area, as evidenced by prior teaching experience and record of scholarly publications.

Graduate Qualifications:

  • Terminal degree from an accredited institution in assigned area of teaching responsibility, with minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in discipline

  • Significant professional and/or academic experience in assigned area

  • Minimum 2 years documented teaching experience in higher education

  • Preferred online teaching experience

Undergraduate Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in assigned area of teaching responsibility, with minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in discipline

  • If master’s degree is not in an assigned area, candidate must have at least 12 credit hours in discipline

  • Significant professional and/or academic experience in assigned area

  • Minimum 2 years documented teaching experience in higher education

  • Preferred online teaching experience
